Happy Halloween Card

I am so excited! I finally got to use the “A” side of our Got Candy paper. I used the “B” side twice making two other cards and was thinking this really cute paper may not get used, but thankfully it did! I used Avocado and Sundance, two of our new card stock colors to mat both layers. These two are super nice colors. The avocado right now is my favorite color. I also used our new Fancy Borders thin cut dies on the bottom of each four layers. I stamped and used our Tri-Blend alcohol markers to color a few images from the Got Candy stamp set. Another fun card. Enjoy!

Spooky Gnomes and Got Candy Stamp Sets

I thought I was done creating Halloween cards until on a whim I ordered our new Spooky Gnomes stamp and die set. I have seen so many adorable cards made using the Gnomes, but what I ordered the stamp set for was the spider web, cat, and bats on the set. I already had sketched out my card idea that included the house off another of our promotional stamp sets called Got Candy. This stamp set has been loved. We used it to make two of our cards earlier this month in class. You can find both cards in my recent post. I will use the Gnomes, but most likely on my Christmas cards. One of the figures I can already see as a Santa and the other a Candy Cane. We are starting to make our Christmas Cards in October. I sure hope this stamp set does not sell out before our class.

Close To My Heart now carry fourteen Distress Oxide Inks in our new 2020-21 Core Products book and I have been on a kick using them. Many of us already have the older distress inks in our craft room, but the Oxides are totally different that they are a dye ink combined with pigment ink which makes them stay wet longer and with the pigment added they blend wonderful. We used them in class last week and my ladies, who never used the inks before, their cards were absolutely beautiful. You do have to have patience using them, because you need a layer of ink on top of another layer of ink to get them to seamlessly blend. Just like when you use an alcohol marker. You have to have two to three layers of color for an amazing blend.

Well, I hope you enjoy my card. I loved making it and it turned out so much cuter than my sketch I made. Thank you for stopping by my blog. I am a Close To My Heart Maker (consultant) and if you have any questions or would like to place an order, I would be happy to assist you.

September Card Class

YIKES.... I forgot to post this!

Another fun card class last night. We all went to the Texas Roadhouse restaurant for dinner and then came back to my house for my monthly card class. We made three cute cards. Everyone seem to really enjoy using Close To My Hearts new distress oxide inks. The colors are amazing and the inks blend together like butter.

Wishing everyone a very safe Labor Day weekend.

Happy Scrappin everyone!

September 11 9-11

Today, 9-11 has been emotional for me and I know to countless of others also. I have many images from over the years on my cell and I posted several of them today. Tonight I am done. The last few I found were more heartbreaking than my earlier shared posts and I am just done. I have to change gears.

So, I went to my craft table and found comfort in making a card. I will say it is not my favorite, but it did help cleanse my thoughts. I cut out 6+ of these cards for myself. I will not attach the sentiment layer until I need a card and will stamp the occasion and mail it out. I love the paper that I used. Sunflowers are one of my three favorite flowers. The other two are Zinnia's and Cone Flowers. My Momma loved any kind of flower. They made her heart so happy.... along with a box of chocolates, so it always makes me think of her when I have used flowers on my cards.

The card I made is a "fun fold" card. For some reason I have only made a few over the years. I need to make more of them and maybe they will grow on me more. I hope you like it and I wish whoever receives the six sitting on my desk likes them too.
God bless our Country and God bless the souls of the 3000+ people that were tragically taken from us nineteen years ago this morning.

Thinking of You Card

Today I am posting a card I made with the Floral Details & Background stamp set. I received this pretty stamp FREE as a prize for joining in and watching last month's Virtual Crop online with Close To My Heart. I was tickled to see my name posted online and even more excited to receive it in the mail. I have been on a Halloween kick lately designing cards for my September classes, so this was a nice break. I am mailing this card out to one of my Aunt's. It's already in the mailbox waiting on our mailman. I know she will enjoy receiving it.

I am actually having two separate classes twice this month. Tomorrow night to make my Halloween cards and then the end of the month to make our Fall/Thanksgiving cards. Class in both October and November we will be focusing on making Christmas cards. I want my ladies and myself to have all of our needed  Holiday cards made by Thanksgiving and in the mail on December 1st. No last minute Hallmark cards! December will be for decorating, baking, and shopping! Let's see how that works out!

Wishing everyone a safe and fun Labor Day weekend. We are doing family pictures tomorrow and then celebrating Jameson's 4th birthday on Sunday. My sweet boy!

Happy Scrappin Friends!

Thinking of You Card

Today I am posting a card that I created late last night when I should have long been in bed. It's crazy how your mind picks the oddest ...
