So you can start the hop at Cuttin' and Stampin' and work your way through our 13 wonderful Design Team members.  Each of us has used the Bazzill Basic Paper collection called Lucy's Crab Shack.

Hi, this is Cheryl. We just relocated from Birmingham Alabama last fall. I have been married for almost thirty-seven year. We have two daughters, a wonderful son-in-law, and two  adorable Grands that call me Gamma. I am a little bit Yankee, a lot Southern, and now living in the Wild West of Texas. I have been scrapbooking for almost fifteen years and made the expensive mistake of discovering card making two years ago. I have been addicted to pretty inks, papers, and stamps ever since.

This is my first official post as a Design Team member with Cuttin' and Stampin' and I am soooo excited and happy to be invited to hang around with these gals. I have had a month or so to get to know our group and am just tickled with the non-ending support and help I have received. I am somewhat of a computer duhhhhh, but am slowly catching on! This is my first Blog Hop and I am just thrilled! You should have hopped over here from Doris' blog. I am glad to have you visit with me!
This weekend we are doing an “End of Summer” blog. The beach is my favorite place to vacation and with our recent move to Texas we did not get to go for our annual trip in June. So when I heard the theme was beach related I was very excited.

I used the Lucy’s Crab Shack paper collection from Bazzill for my 12” x 12” layout. I started with a piece of brown card stock and layered it with a piece of cream card stock cut down to 11 ½” x 11 ½”. I cut each piece of the designer papers to 3” x 3”, inked the edges, added a yellow matt, applied foam tape to the back of each piece, and adhered them down.

From there I added a few beach themed diecuts

Two corner punches

I matted and inked the edges of my verse
Here is a picture of my completed page.
All I just need a trip to the beach
to fill in my photo mats!
ENJOY!!

Well, I just thought I was done. Decided to use some of my scraps to make a quick card. I hope you like it!
I cut three strips of paper measuring 4" x 1 1/2", I cut all three diagonially, corner to corner and inked the edges.

I cut a piece of scrap paper 3 1/2" x 3 3/4", found the center of the 3 3/4" edge, marked it with a pencil and then laid my first strip against these two marks.

I continued until all of the strips were snuggly adherred to the paper, trimmed the edges, and using two of the largest cut off scraps, I added them to the two empty corner edges.

I cut a 3 3/4" x 5" piece of cardstock, adherred the finished piece to the top of this paper, cut a 5/8" x 3 3/4" piece of paper and placed it on the bottom of the sunburst pattern edge

I inked my verse to the bottom of the paper, matted and inked a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of the
coordinating cardstock under the sunburst card, and adherred it to a standard card base, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"

A quick, easy, simple card made with just a few leftover scraps!

I hope you liked my two projects and was inspired to get "Cuttin' and Stampin" too!

Thinking of You Card

Today I am posting a card that I created late last night when I should have long been in bed. It's crazy how your mind picks the oddest ...
